CONTROL GROUP 3RD ANNIVERSARY!
This week is the third anniversary since the launch of the Control Group. When starting this project, we had no idea it would become as big as it has done.
There are over 40,000 people in 126 countries contributing to the COVID vaccine study! Every single person is a volunteer who believes, like us, that health is for everyone and that medical knowledge should not be gatekept by industries who thrive on sickness.
As a direct result of the donations and collective action of you, the participants, the Control Group have been able to help thousands of people travel, keep their jobs, see their loved ones, and assert their right to bodily autonomy.
Whether you joined the Control Group in 2021 or joined this week, we are unbelievably grateful to have you with us and for all your contributions as you help us bring transparent health data to the world!

CELEBRATING SUCCESSES
Whilst our study is the most important long-term aspect of the Control Group, many of our newer participants are unaware of the many ways in which we have helped our participants all over the world. Here are just two of the many hundreds of examples.
Mum-to-be secures right to autotransfusion
An unvaccinated young woman in the last stages of her pregnancy is asked by her health care practitioner whether she will consent to a blood transfusion in case of an emergency during the birth.
Worried about the potential of receiving contaminated or vaccinated blood, she asks that that she have her own blood drawn and stored in the weeks before the birth for the use of a blood transfusion, should this become necessary.
This is otherwise known as an “autotransfusion”.
Asked to justify herself, the woman produced her Control Group Vaccine Study Card and her Participation Certificate stating she needs to remain unvaccinated as part of the Control Group vaccine study. Her hospital agreed, with the caveat she provide them a letter from the Control Group explaining why unvaccinated blood is important for her.
The mum-to-be wrote to us at the Control Group asking for help. Our team wrote her a bespoke letter to her practitioners, confirming she was a part of our COVID vaccine study. We detailed the ways in which blood is an important factor in understanding vaccines efficacy and side effects and expressed our support for her right to choose the treatments she received.
She showed this letter from the Control Group to her doctors and they granted her the autotransfusion!

UK Woman Flies on well known airline with her Vaccine Study Card
” My sister and I used the VCG card and letter for my great aunt’s 90th birthday party. We were asked at UK check in if vaccinated. […] I told attendant I am on a trial so not to be vaccinated. She read the letter, looked at the card and said, “if I had known about this trial, I would have joined it myself.
Thank you VCG for our successful travel!! was able to enjoy celebrating with US family. Have told many friends to join the VCG. “
FEELING A BIT UNWELL? RECORD YOUR SYMPTOMS!
According the BBC, the UK may be in the middle of a summer COVID wave – with the range of COVID symptoms (according to UKHSA – UK Health Security Agency) including any combination of: High temperature or shivering, new continuous cough, loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, shortness of breath, feeling tired or exhausted, aching body, headache, sore throat, blocked or runny nose, loss of appetite, diarrhoea and feeling sick or being sick. Symptoms are important to us so that we can report on the overall wellness of our participants, especially when there are reports of ‘waves of disease’.
