Welcome to our August 2026 newsletter.

Don’t forget the heroes

If you follow the World Council for Health, you probably got an email from Dr Tess Lawrie about the Dr Mark Trozzi – and I wanted to make sure we shared it onwards.

Dr Lawrie describes what he has put on the line, and lost, trying to ensure medical truth is available to all. Dr Trozzi represents Canada. In the UK we have our own amazing doctors and other professionals who have put their lives and livelihood on the line for the sake of a public who mostly don’t want to hear it! But for those of us who listened and learned, these people have been our autonomy advocates, vital support, champions of truth and makers of change – at their own great expense.

Fighting for something you believe in is not easy. You can lose friends, you can lose family, you can lose income, you can lose your standing in society, you can lose your stability and sometimes, you can completely lose yourself.

There were heroes in each country, some who may have withdrawn, some who are still standing and some who have lost everything – and there are some who sadly didn’t make it. Please don’t forget about any of them. If you appreciated their wisdom and support through the pandemic era, remember them now and support them in whatever way you can; reach out to them, send a message of thanks, support their campaigns – even if it’s just a ‘like’ on their social media posts, just let them know you remember and you care.

In an emergency, how will they know your choices?

A Health Card is a great way to keep important medical information to hand. You can add your health conditions, medications, supplements etc. to the card’s QR page, which makes it really useful when visiting health and wellness practitioners outside the medical system.

Simply scan the QR code.

It also serves as an ICE (In Case of Emergency) Card that can be scanned by emergency services to show information you choose to display, such as:

Blood type
Allergies
Health conditions
Current medications
Advanced Medical Decisions
